The City of České Budějovice, the Biology Centre of the CAS, Open Lab, and JAIP are organizing the “Roots of the Green City” face to face meeting in České Budějovice. The event will bring together students, experts, and the public to explore the vital connections between soil, trees, and urban climate. Participants will have the opportunity to see how scientific knowledge can help create greener, healthier, and more resilient cities.
Taking place on October 12, 2026, the event includes an interactive educational program for secondary school students. Through a series of hands-on experiments participants can find out why healthy soil is the key to healty trees and pleasant urban environment.
