RehAllianCE Competence Centre Officially Launched: Highlights from the Webinar

Date: 20.10.2026
On 9 October 2026, the RehAllianCE project partners hosted the online webinar “RehAllianCE Competence Centre – Tools and Services for Rehabilitation Innovation”, introducing the newly launched Competence Centre and presenting the resources developed to support the development, testing and adoption of innovative rehabilitation technologies.

Developed within the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE RehAllianCE project, the RehAllianCE Competence Centre aims to bridge the gap between technological innovation and its practical application in rehabilitation. By bringing together expertise, services and collaboration opportunities in a single cross-border platform, the Centre connects MedTech companies and start-ups, healthcare and rehabilitation providers, researchers, Living Labs, Digital Innovation Hubs and other stakeholders across Europe.

During the webinar, project partners presented the six interconnected service areas of the Competence Centre:

  • Market Analysis & Trends: market intelligence, country comparisons and consultancy services to help innovators identify opportunities and barriers to market entry.
  • Regulations & Reimbursement: guidance on European medical device regulations, CE marking, national reimbursement systems and market access requirements.
  • Technology Adoption & Acceptance: opportunities to test and validate innovative solutions in Living Labs and demonstration environments, alongside feedback from healthcare professionals and end users.
  • Funding & Investments: information on European funding programmes, investment opportunities and organisations supporting rehabilitation innovation.
  • Online Academy: training resources, a curated course catalogue and short educational videos addressing clinical, technical and professional skills.
  • Matching Platform: a dedicated tool connecting companies, research organisations, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to facilitate partnerships and cross-border cooperation.

The webinar also included interactive polls and a Q&A session, encouraging participants to share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities associated with rehabilitation innovation. The discussions highlighted the importance of practical training, access to regulatory information, market insights and opportunities to identify partners for collaborative projects.

The official launch of the Competence Centre represents an important milestone for RehAllianCE, contributing to the project’s objective of strengthening cooperation between innovation ecosystems and supporting the uptake of rehabilitation technologies. The platform is designed to remain a valuable resource beyond the project’s conclusion, providing access to knowledge, services and networking opportunities.
