Erica Bisetto (Municipality of Ferrara) presented the final output of PopUpUrbanSpaces in Bucharest, during the final conference of S.M.ALL – Sharing Urban Solutions towards Sustainable Mobility for ALL, for which the Municipality of Ferrara serves as Lead Partner.
The panel discussion featured representatives from the DUT project PROWD, the Interreg Danube project CityWalk 2.0, and the URBACT APN PUMA, and generated strong interest in the PopUpUrbanSpaces Toolkit. The project’s experiences in enabling European cities and public actors to experiment with tactical urbanism, placemaking, and tactical transit, promoting behavioural change towards active forms of mobility, inspired dialogue among city representatives across Europe – from Strasbourg, Pentagono Urbano, Komotini, Larissa, Druskininkai, Sofia, and Bucharest. The discussion highlighted the potential and benefits of tactical approaches in creating more creative urban environments and informing bold, forward-looking strategies in urban design.
