Nighttime Research in Langiewicza Park, Wrocław (PL) 🌙

Date: 07.03.2025
✨ On the evening of March 5th, a research team from the Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy we Wrocławiu conducted field studies in Langiewicza Park as part of the Urbio Bauhaus project. The team was divided into two specialized groups, each focusing on different aspects of urban biodiversity and park management.

🌿✨🦋
🔬 The natural science research team assessed the condition of the park’s vegetation and surveyed local fauna, with a particular focus on birds and insects. Researchers also measured light levels in areas where vegetation is most exposed to artificial illumination and conducted preliminary analyses of sound propagation and soundscapes within the park.🌳
👥 The social research team focused on engaging park users through a survey designed to understand their usage and perception of the park. The collected data will contribute to scientific research and support the development of best practices for urban park management—bridging user needs with biodiversity conservation.✨
By integrating ecological and social perspectives, Urbio Bauhaus seeks to create resilient, inclusive, and biodiverse urban spaces. 🌱✨
