Date: 07.10.2025

On 07 January 2026, The Night of Biosignals is organized by the Biosignals Technical Committee. This committee is part of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering within the VDE (DGBMT), the largest scientific and technical society for medical technology in Germany. The committee’s focus is on the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of biomedical data. Among numerous lectures from different German universities tour to the laboratories were available for on-site participants. In the Laboratory for Medical Microwave Sensing, Dr. Helbig showed the visitors how heartbeat can be detected without contact, how the body’s core temperature during hyperthermia treatment can be measured non-invasively, and how MWI technology can be used to create images of the breast for the early detection of breast cancer.
