On the theme of ‘Resources for all’, the 2024 edition of the Festival of the New European Bauhaus will unite people to debate how we can shape a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future. Satellite events are organised independently in Brussels and beyond, with core activities aligned with the New European Bauhaus values.
APE FVG and Palmanova Municipality, project partners in ZEB4ZEN, will join the NEB Festival with a satellite event in Palmanova on April 19th, 2024. The conference “Energy: shared, beautiful, sustainable” will show that we can fight energy poverty and guarantee equal access to clean energy, and we can achieve decarbonisation and sustainability goals; at the same time, we can preserve the cultural and historical heritage that makes our European cities and towns so beautiful.
A 40 kWp solar PV plant will be constructed in Palmanova, supplying an energy community with the involvement of about 30 inhabitants of the same neighbourhood. For that purpose, abandoned and unoccupied land outside the city walls will be used. This will become a model for zero-emission standards in historic neighbourhoods.
