On the 1st May 2025 the TRANSGEO project celebrates its second year of implementation, with various activities being implemented or done, deliverables prepared and published, as well as events organized and supported. Following the mentioned, the period from November 2024 until April 2025 has been marked with different activities and events, out of which Medjimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) has actively participated in the following ones:
· Further coordination of the Transnational Strategy preparation, whereby some Chapters are already finished, but most of them still ongoing
· Preparation of the Transnational Action Plan content with presentation of the same to the partner consortium
· Project Partner and Executive Board Meeting in Szeged (Hungary) with site visits to two extraordinary locations that use geothermal energy for district heating and agriculture purposes in the cities of Szeged and Szentes.
To promote the project on regional and local level, Medjimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) has published an article about the significance of the project activities and possible results for the pilot site Mihovljan in the local newspaper Medjimurske novine. Furthermore, to foster the dissemination of the project, activities such as “TRANSGEO Welcome webinar” and “TRANSGEO Project video” have, also, been supported by Medjimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) with active participation of the representatives in both of these activities.
As mentioned in the previous progress article, in the following months several dissemination activities are planned, whereby the “Transnational Strategy webinar” is the first and most extensive one in September 2025. Also, in cooperation with national partners from UNIZG-RGNF, Medjimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) will host and present the Transnational Action Plan and Feasibility Studies for the pilot sites Mihovljan and Savica to regional and local representatives from public authorities, drilling, oil and energy companies, development and sectoral agencies, as well as environmental associations.
Finally, with all ongoing and implemented activities, Medjimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) wishes TRANSGEO a happy second birthday and looks forward to the last year of a challenging, but successful implementation! 🎉
