LOCALIENCE Partners Gather for Final Conference

A three-year project was launched in April 2023, focusing on strengthening local-level resilience to risks arising from extreme weather events in Central Europe. The closing event of the Interreg Central Europe LOCALIENCE project was hosted by the Vas County Directorate for Disaster Management on 30 January 2026. Eleven partner organizations worked together within the framework of the project. The project partner organizations came from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovenia. From the Hungarian side, in addition to the Vas County Disaster Management Directorate, the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development and the National Directorate General for Water Management participated in achieving the project’s objectives. Over the past years, the project included workshops, professional forums, exercises, and expert visits. The final event was the closing conference held on Friday, 30 January 2026, where the project partners reported on the results achieved and the tasks implemented. Prior to the conference, a press briefing was held, during which attendees could listen to presentations by Dr. Miklós Dukai, State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development, and Brigadier General Dr. Balázs Bognár, Director of the Vas County Disaster Management Directorate.
