Kraków grows food!

Date: 22.07.2025
The growing season is in full swing at our pilot parcel garden on Orla Street. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our gardeners, the site is now bursting with life. Across 47 parcels, vegetables, herbs, and flowers thrive—proof of the time, energy, and care each person has poured into their plot. The garden is more than productive; it’s becoming a vibrant, living space shaped by collaboration and community.

Alongside these individual efforts, the Operator of the urban farm is cultivating crops on shared ground, testing what urban-scale food production can look like. But the work doesn’t stop at planting and harvesting. The Operator is also forging early relationships with future produce recipients—laying the groundwork for a local, sustainable food network that connects the garden directly with the city.

Together, gardeners and the Operator are showing what’s possible when urban space is used to grow not only food, but also resilience, cooperation, and meaningful connections. And with the season just beginning, there’s plenty more to come.
