Meet our next key speaker at the PopUpUrbanSpaces Final Conference: Tadej Žaucer!
Tadej is Head of Transport Policy Division, pushing in the sustainable mobility direction.
They prepare legislation, subordinate legislation, guidelines, and other documents governing transport policy and integrated transport planning. They prepare the National Integrated Transport Strategy and other strategic documents in the field of transport policy and monitor their implementation and the compliance of other sectoral policies with transport policy objectives. We provide local communities and regions with expert support in the preparation of integrated transport strategies and measures based on them. They perform the tasks of the spatial planning authority in the field of sustainable mobility, issue guidelines, opinions, and recommendations on municipal and national spatial acts, and participate in the preparation of regional spatial acts. They cooperate with various stakeholders, civil society, professional organizations and associations, ministries and government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. They are professionally active in international and EU groups and organizations in the field of transport policy.
Furthermore, Tadej Žaucer is:
– Former Official in the field of sustainable urban mobility at the Ministry of infrastructure. Architect by profession, with experience in architectural design, spatial planning, urban design, teaching, and sustainable mobility. Focusing on walking/pedestrian and cycling issues.
– Co-founder of Institute for spatial policies, where he worked previously, focusing on projects in the field of sustainable spatial planning, urban regeneration, sustainable mobility and public participation in spatial planning.
