The Circular WEEEP project unites 12 partner organizations from 7 countries and 10 regions, all working together to advance circular policies for EEE. While sustainable product design remains a long-term goal, this current phase is focused on immediate, actionable steps:
Supporting reuse
Enabling repair
Expanding access to open technical data
These are critical to reducing e-waste and extending the lifespan of electronic products.
One of the biggest challenges to circularity is the difficulty and high cost of dismantling products, as well as the lack of transparent technical information for repair and reuse. Our goal is to remove these barriers and empower both professionals and consumers with the tools and knowledge they need to give electronics a second life.
