The District Heating Section of the Energy Chamber of Slovenia held a dedicated HEAT 35 project workshop during their regular meeting on Friday and Saturday, 5–6 December 2025, in Dobrovo, Slovenia.
The event brought together representatives of district heating operators, energy experts, and project partners to discuss current developments and future pathways for the green transformation of district heating systems.
The HEAT 35 Project Workshop featured keynote contributions from international experts:
- Matjaž Gerl (E-zavod) presented an overview of the key activities and achievements of the HEAT 35 project.
- Matteo Mazzolini (APE FVG) presented a pilot district heating project in Maniago (Italy) based on surplus heat from a regional bio-waste treatment centre, along with insights into the broader transformation of district heating systems in the region.
- Christian Ramerstorfer (AEE INTEC) introduced support tools and services developed within the HEAT 35 project to assist planning the transition to renewable heat sources.
Strengthening Cooperation for Sustainable Heating
The two-day event offers an important opportunity to exchange experiences, explore innovative solutions, and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders working toward more resilient, low-carbon district heating systems.
