Over two years, healthcare organisations in the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Slovenia applied the Living Lab methodology to real-world health challenges—ranging from post-surgery rehabilitation to chronic disease management. Working closely with patients, professionals, and regional stakeholders, the project teams co-created practical solutions and tested them in everyday healthcare settings.
Each pilot followed a structured process: exploring user needs, developing prototypes, and carrying out testing with direct user feedback. The pilots showed how involving patients, families, and professionals throughout the journey can lead to more relevant and usable results.
Key lessons included the importance of adapting to local contexts, maintaining consistent engagement, and ensuring solutions are tested under real-life conditions. The project also showed how regional cooperation and knowledge exchange can support healthcare innovation.
The final solutions are now being prepared for wider use and will be published on the project website in autumn 2025. Chec also the Pilot implementation summary report in the Output section of project website.
