H2CE participated in the workshop “Green Hydrogen Generation, Transport and Application: German-Italian Perspectives on the Energy Transition and Hydrogen Economy” at the Italian Embassy in Berlin.
The event took place in the presence of Italian Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini and was co-organised with SIGN, the Network of Italian Scientists in Germany.
Practical value for H2CE
The workshop provided an opportunity to:
- exchange German and Italian perspectives on hydrogen production, transport and use;
- connect institutional, scientific and project stakeholders;
- discuss hydrogen’s role in the energy transition; and
- strengthen the international relationships supporting H2CE’s work.
At this early stage of implementation, the exchange contributed to H2CE’s efforts to develop a cross-regional network of hydrogen-ready regions. It also demonstrated the importance of institutional and scientific cooperation when addressing energy challenges that extended beyond national borders.
