Mr. Joël Danard introduced the concept of tram freight, aimed at transporting goods without disrupting passenger services, while Ms. Catherine Steimer addressed the challenges posed by underutilized public transport amid rising e-commerce logistics. She proposed leveraging public transport for parcel delivery, supported by the successful Strasbourg experiment that showed minimal operational impact. Ms. Alice Benini outlined the GRETA project, which aims to decarbonize last-mile freight transport through innovative solutions, involving 11 partners and focusing on pilot actions in 5 European cities. The project seeks to address urban freight challenges and create lasting impacts by integrating successful strategies into urban logistics systems. Lastly, Poznan and Reggio Emilia pilots presented their microhub solutions.
