On 4 September 2025, the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia organised a workshop and roundtable as part of the Capacity building for carbon farming business model activity. The event was attended by around 30 participants from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy, agricultural advisors and researchers.
The event included expert presentations on greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture, land use and forestry, the role of carbon farming within the Common Agricultural Policy and field-level challenges in managing emissions and sinks.
A lively debate developed during the round table, which emphasised the importance and urgency of the topic for the future of Slovenian agriculture.
