The site was further upgraded through the LIFE IP Restart project, where a material bank was established to support the storage and reuse of previously used public assets from the City of Maribor. This approach strengthened local circular economy practices by improving material recovery, reuse, and long-term resource efficiency.
Within the ReBuilt project, the Construction Reuse Centre was recognised as an important good practice example for demonstrating circular construction solutions, material reuse, and innovation in sustainable building systems. Pilot activities also contributed to testing innovative construction materials, including hempcrete-based panels, supporting further knowledge exchange and practical application of circular construction principles.
This good practice highlights how cooperation between municipalities, infrastructure operators, and innovation projects can contribute to stronger circular value chains and more sustainable construction ecosystems in Central Europe.
