Food sharing point at Wroclaw’s school!
The first food sharing point at a school in Wrocław has been opened! The refrigerator has been installed at Primary School No. 84. This is another important step towards a city where food is not wasted. This great initiative is not only a great chance to help those in need, but also put the spotlight on the problem of wasting food.
The initiative was implemented as part of the international foodCIRCUS Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE project, which the Department of Strategy and Sustainable Development of the Wrocław City Hall is a partner of. The cooperation with Wrocław’s University of Environmental and Life Sciences helps to increase the chances to reach a broader audience and tackle the food waste issue at schools.
A special thanks to Foodsharing Wrocław, the principal and community of Primary School No. 84, members of the project from and the Wrocław’s University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the city representatives for this amazing initiative. It wouldn’t be possible without you!
This is the first school food sharing initiative in Wrocław and hopefully not the last! Let’s hope sharing becomes an everyday practice.
