On Monday 15th the companies of Confindustria Verona’s Food Section — the project’s lead partner — took part in a visit to the Tecnopolo in Reggio Emilia, one of the leading innovation ecosystems in the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Made possible through the collaboration with the REI Foundation, the initiative gave participants the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the many activities carried out at the Tecnopolo. Throughout the day, the companies explored a range of complementary fields: from sensory analysis and consumer preference testing to advanced research, robotic automation, and technology transfer services designed to support businesses in their growth and innovation journeys.
The visit proved to be far more than a purely technical exercise. It was, above all, a valuable opportunity for different businesses to connect — fostering the sharing of experiences, mutual inspiration, and the emergence of new opportunities for collaboration.
Initiatives like these reflect the very goal of D4PACK: to bring together companies, research centers, and local institutions in order to drive innovation across the entire supply chain — from packaging to the strategic decisions of food sector companies.
