The Municipality of Mirosławiec has officially launched its FlexiRide pilot service, marking an important milestone in the implementation of the FlexiSHARE project.
Since 1 July 2026, residents of the municipality have been able to use a new demand-responsive transport service designed to improve accessibility for people facing mobility challenges. The service primarily supports older people, persons with reduced mobility and residents living in areas with limited public transport connections, helping them reach healthcare facilities, rehabilitation centres, public institutions, pharmacies and public transport hubs. Transport requests can be submitted by phone, email or in person at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre, at least one working day before the planned journey. The service operates on weekdays between 7:00 and 15:00 within the municipality and surrounding area.
The launch follows the successful completion of all administrative procedures related to the purchase of the project vehicle. Additional financial support from the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Szczecin covered 50% of the vehicle’s value, contributing significantly to the implementation of the pilot service.
The launch of the FlexiRide pilot represents an important step for the FlexiSHARE partnership, demonstrating how flexible, demand-responsive transport can improve accessibility and reduce mobility poverty in rural and peripheral areas of Central Europe. The experience gained during the pilot will contribute to the further development and transfer of innovative mobility solutions across the partner regions.
