Both residents and visitors to Krakow could choose from a wide range of actions and events promoting sustainable mobility in the broadest sense. This year’s European Mobility Week in Krakow kicked off with free educational cycling tours. Citizens could also take part in some of the attractions provided by the organisers:

Neighbourhood picnic ‘All about transport’ in Krakow – the neighbourhood picnic on Krupnicza St. demonstrated to Krakow’s residents the benefits of using modes of transport other than the car in the city.

Bicycle inspections – bicycle checks aim to ensure the safety of users by checking the technical condition of bicycles and providing information on the general condition of the bicycle for the owner.

The Big Ecology Lesson in Krakow – the main objective was to present in a comprehensive manner the pro-environmental activities carried out by the City of Krakow, municipal companies and municipal units for the benefit of the citizens of Krakow.

Activities at the Krakow Climate Education Centre – children, young people and adults were invited to take part in workshops on how to get around the city safely, the presentation of cycle paths in Krakow and pedestrian and cyclist rights.

NGT6 tram simulator – it was possible to take a ride in a faithfully reproduced NGT6 tram simulator.

Conference and workshops for teachers ‘STARS – by bike to school’ (STARS – rowerem do szkoły) – the campaign organised road safety training and supported initiatives to improve cycling infrastructure around schools.

Parade of historic and modern trams in Krakow with accompanying attractions – during the parade, both historic trams and modern vehicles took to the streets of the city, allowing residents and tourists to admire the evolution of transport over the years.

Outdoor event at the Clean Air Centre – the event included building houses of the future, environmental games and activities, a talk on the city’s efforts to improve air quality and an educational bike ride.
