ECLECTIC-CE partnership (episode 4): Warsaw University of Technology

Date: 30.04.2026
The Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) is a leading Polish technical university. At WUT, CCI skills development is advanced through the university’s broader interdisciplinary ecosystem of technology, design, architecture, innovation and cultural activity. Within ECLECTIC-CE, WUT contributes by analysing the technological needs of the cultural and creative sector in Mazovia, co-developing a strategy for strengthening technological competences, and testing educational activities for students. These tasks build on capacities that already exist across several complementary units and environments.

CEZAMAT (Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies) provides access to advanced technological infrastructure and experimentation-oriented facilities.

Warsaw Design Factory contributes interdisciplinary, project-based and design-driven learning formats.

The Faculty of Architecture adds strong competences in architecture, urbanism, artistic creation and the integration of technology with design, including preparation for creative work in areas such as exhibitions, scenography, advertising and graphics.

The Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering contributes engineering, manufacturing, ergonomics and prototyping expertise.

In addition, Centrum Innowacji PW (CINN) strengthens the practical innovation dimension through its MakerSpace and support for prototype development, including facilities for 3D printing and model-making, helping transform ideas into tangible prototypes.

The university’s cultural dimension is also visible through long-standing artistic activity such as the Warsaw University of Technology Song and Dance Ensemble, which represents the university in cultural events in Poland and abroad. In this sense, ECLECTIC-CE does not create a new activity from scratch at WUT, but rather connects, extends and gives new regional direction to existing strengths that link technology, creativity, prototyping, architecture and cultural engagement.
