The main product of the CoFarm4Cities project will be the sustainable land use model which is developed by Obuda University educators from the RKK Faculty (Bodáné Dr. Kendrovics Rita, Dr. Demény Krisztina and Dr. Ágoston Csaba).
The main goal of the activity is development of an Urban Farming-based Sustainable Land Use (UFSLU) model, which will not only offer a variety of alternatives for the realization of urban farms in peri-urban territories but will also include guidelines and a toolkit for stakeholder engagement. The UFSLU will serve as a general model, elements of which can be replicated and customized to cities’ realities.
The researchers are leading the development of the so called Jointly Developed Model (UFSLU), through presentations and SWOT analyses, they support the participating cities — Budapest, Kraków, Ljubljana, Turin, and Zagreb — in shaping their own sustainable urban strategies as action Plans. These Action Plans meant to help the project’s follower cities to help identify their own conflicts and potentials to ensure an already tested, successful pathway for all.
The pilots supposed to be ready with their SWOT outline by mid-summer and receive the final analysis at the up-coming Partner meeting in Krakow 23-25 September 2025.
