D4Pack was actively promoted at the AGRA 2026 International Agricultural and Food Fair, where the partner CCIS-Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises met visitors over five days to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable food packaging and of the environmental impact of the choices made along the value chain.
Discussions and interactive presentations at the stand gave consumers a clearer picture of the recycling options available for different types of packaging, of the practical ways in which its environmental footprint can be reduced, and of the role that informed decisions play in everyday purchases. Visitors were also introduced to the D4PACKtool, developed within the project to help food companies transition towards more sustainable and efficient packaging solutions.
The fair proved to be an excellent opportunity to engage with food and beverage companies, consumers, industry professionals and other stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition to more sustainable packaging. The project’s results and the practical application of the D4PACKtool were presented in greater detail during a dedicated seminar, attended by representatives of companies, ministries, research institutions and educational organisations.
The activities were further enriched by the participation of Lucija Brina Arvaj, winner of the D4PACK Hackathon, and her mentor, Prof. Dr Diana Gregor Svetec (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana). Their expertise and experience contributed significantly to communicating the project’s solutions to both consumers and professional audiences
