On the 27th of May, CURIOST partners convened for an intensive two-day meeting in Opatija, Croatia, hosted by STEP RI – Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka. The gathering offered a rich opportunity to share progress updates and define the path ahead in supporting SMEs to integrate innovative circular-economy solutions.
During this engaging session, participants reviewed findings from policy mapping and company needs analysis, ensuring regional insights would inform project direction. A key highlight was working collaboratively to identify and refine profiles—“creative heads”—who will drive the next project phase, aligning their expertise with SME requirements. The consortium also planned a series of uptake workshops designed to actively engage SMEs and boost their readiness for sustainable transformation. A hands-on exercise on business model development anchored the meeting, translating real-life case studies into actionable strategies.
Each partner’s contribution reaffirmed CURIOST’s shared mission: to build a thriving ecosystem where creativity, sustainability, and circular economy principles come together. A heartfelt thank you goes to STEP RI for their warm hospitality and to all project partners for their energy and commitment. We move forward with renewed clarity and collaboration, ready to empower SMEs across Central Europe
