The City of Kranj, with support of their thematic expert partners and local inhabitants, designed some potential solutions that could be executed in Old Town of Kranj.
Proposed steps written in the “project in day” workshop in March:
More permanent green spaces with diverse trees, shrubs, and potted plants.
More shaded seating, misting stations, and drinking fountains.
Replacing parking spaces with green areas and permeable surfaces.
Sustainable design: solar-powered charging benches, recycled planters, and green walls.
Community engagement: involvement of local business and property owners in maintenance and greening efforts.
