At the ceremonial announcement of the Map of the Year 2025 competition results, together with colleagues from the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, we received an award! In the category Digital Cartographic Products and Online Applications, the Clim4Cast map portal was recognized as an innovative tool for monitoring and short-term forecasting of droughts, heatwaves, and wildfire occurrence in Central Europe — all in one place.
We truly appreciate this award. It represents recognition of our work so far and at the same time serves as strong motivation to continue developing the platform and expanding it with new outputs. Thank you all for your support, and we believe that with the beginning of the vegetation season and rising temperatures, our forecasts of drought, heatwave, and wildfire risks will be as useful as possible for you!
