Circular WEEEP 6th Project Meeting in Lublin, Poland

Date: 03.09.2025
On 3–4 September 2025, partners of the Circular WEEEP project came together in Lublin, Poland, for the 6th transnational project meeting. The event was hosted by the City of Lublin and brought together representatives of all project partners.

The first day of the meeting was dedicated to project progress and planning. Partners reviewed the timeline and reporting activities, as well as the financial overview. Each pilot leader presented updates on their actions: WEEE Aware, WEEE Market/Collect, WEEE Social, and WEEE Lives. The discussions then shifted toward the sustainability of the project platform, stakeholder engagement strategies, opportunities for partnership development, and principles of open data sharing and reuse.

On the second day, partners worked on the Memorandum of Understanding for long-term cooperation in WEEE and plastic management across Central Europe. This important step aims to strengthen collaboration, define clear governance structures, and ensure alignment with EU and national regulations. The agenda also included financial and access arrangements for the project platform, with a focus on sustainability beyond the project’s lifetime.

A highlight of the meeting was the site visit to the Polish Recycling Corporation, where partners observed best practices in recycling and circular economy solutions.

The Circular WEEEP partnership extends its gratitude to the City of Lublin for being outstanding hosts and making the meeting both productive and memorable.
