As the TASK4ISI project moves towards its conclusion, the experiences gathered through its activities and pilot initiatives provide valuable insights into how more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems can be developed and strengthened.
One of the key lessons is that people come first. Personalised and trust-based support can help aspiring entrepreneurs overcome barriers, build confidence and identify pathways that respond to their individual circumstances and needs.
The project has also highlighted the importance of flexibility in creating more inclusive opportunities. Hybrid formats, evening sessions and weekend activities can make participation more accessible, allowing people with different responsibilities, schedules and circumstances to engage in entrepreneurial support programmes.
Another important insight is the value of strong partnerships. Collaboration between local and international organisations can open new opportunities, facilitate knowledge exchange and contribute to stronger and more connected entrepreneurial ecosystems.
At the same time, the experience of TASK4ISI has shown that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to inclusion. Different communities and groups may face different barriers to participation and therefore require tailored outreach, communication and support. Understanding local contexts and responding to specific needs is essential to ensuring meaningful participation.
The development of practical skills is another important element of inclusive entrepreneurship. Training, coaching and mentoring can provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to develop their ideas and work towards longer-term entrepreneurial goals.
Finally, the project has reinforced the idea that the journey towards more inclusive entrepreneurship continues beyond the lifetime of a single project. Sustainable impact depends on continued collaboration, strong local action and a long-term commitment from the organisations and stakeholders that form entrepreneurial ecosystems.
