The Csúcshegy Urban Farm in Budapest is nearing completion, with construction currently at 80% progress. The cultivation area is already presentable, featuring ground-level and raised garden beds, outdoor water taps, a new fence, a composting zone, and tool sheds. A rainwater harvesting tank has also been installed. In the coming days, solar-powered streetlights, a sanitary service container, and furnishings for the community space will be delivered and installed. The site has people interested in individual beds, so our partner in Budapest has been organizing several site visits with them recently. The operator will be an association of committed residents, whose work is going to be assisted by a gardener assigned by the Municipality. In order to involve families and children, the hungarian projectpartner announced a drawing contest titled “My Little Garden” for the summer. The official opening is scheduled to take place on September 19, as part of the Óbuda Green Days event.
