Over a focused three-week campaign, students, teachers, and school communities came together to collect a remarkable 4,691.5 kilograms of e-waste, showcasing their commitment to sustainability and circular practices.
Awards were presented to the top three performing schools. In total, seven elementary schools took part in the competition. Both school principals and activity coordinators were honoured for their leadership and commitment to environmental education. Their engagement played an important role in mobilizing students and parents to contribute to this successful campaign.
The E-Waste Zebra Competition is part of the Circular WEEEP project’s broader mission to raise awareness about Electrical and Electronic Waste (WEEE) and to promote responsible disposal and recycling within communities. By involving schools, the project fosters a culture of sustainability from an early age, empowering young people to become ambassadors of change.
This year’s results reflect growing momentum for circular education in Bratislava and highlight the impact of collaborative action. Congratulations to all the participating schools, their teachers, and especially the students who made this initiative such a resounding success!
