A new educational path has been inaugurated at Boschetto Park in Nichelino, providing citizens and visitors with an opportunity to learn more about the park, its natural environment and the importance of urban green spaces.
The path includes eight educational panels developed by the Municipality of Nichelino with the collaboration of the University of Turin and Fondazione LINKS, within the framework of the CICADA4CE project.
The panels provide accessible information on the natural characteristics of the area and promote greater awareness of the role of green spaces in the urban environment.
The initiative is part of the climate adaptation activities developed by Nichelino within CICADA4CE, linking practical local action with environmental education and community engagement.
Urban parks and green areas can play an important role in making cities more resilient to climate-related challenges, while also providing spaces for recreation, learning and community interaction.
By creating a permanent educational resource in Boschetto Park, the initiative aims to strengthen citizens’ knowledge of their local environment and encourage greater participation in its protection and enhancement.
The new path is therefore not only an educational tool, but also a concrete example of how climate adaptation, knowledge sharing and local community involvement can be combined in urban spaces.
