26th International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA 2025), and the 14th IEEE-APS Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications (IEEE-APWC 2025)

Date: 08.09.2025

During the latest ICEAA and IEEE-APWC conference in Palermo, Italy, our researcher Alex Ramiro Masaquiza Caiza from Politecnico di Torino presented the paper “Microwave Imaging Evaluation of Prior Structural Information on the Inversion-Kernel Building Applied to a Brain Stroke Monitoring Scenario”.

This work is an important step in the development of a microwave imaging device for brain stroke monitoring, which will be industrialized and clinically tested within the MedWaveImage project.

The research focuses on improving how brain images are reconstructed by the microwave system. The method uses anatomical information from previous medical exams (such as CT or MRI scans) to guide the image reconstruction process. This helps the system create more accurate and reliable images, tailored to each patient.
