Free Webinar Series: Heat Protection for Vulnerable Groups Starts This May

How can we better protect those most at risk from rising temperatures? The City of Weiz, in cooperation with Klimabündnis Steiermark, is addressing this urgent question through a new online training series on heat protection for vulnerable groups.

The four-part webinar series, starting in mid-May, is part of the EU Interreg Central Europe project Ready4Heat and is designed for individuals who work closely with at-risk populations—whether professionally or in everyday life.

🌡️ Why this matters:

Extreme heat is an increasing public health challenge. Older adults, children, people with health conditions, and outdoor workers are especially vulnerable. These webinars aim to equip caregivers, educators, health professionals, and others with practical knowledge and concrete tools to protect people more effectively during heatwaves.
