On April 24, 2025, the URBIO BAUHAUS project team met at the Coworking Center Pula for an inspiring workshop: “Challenges of Biodiversity.“
Through creative methods like World Café and design thinking, participants explored how urbanization affects local biodiversity — and what can be done to promote nature-friendly urban development, in the spirit of sustainability, beauty, and inclusion.
The discussions helped identify the biggest challenges and opened the way for innovative pilot actions that will soon be part of URBIO BAUHAUS’s ongoing work.
Among the participants were representatives from the City of Pula, Istria County, Municipality of Medulin, Natura Histrica, Brijuni National Park, the Beekeepers Association, and many more.
Thanks to the workshop, more voices — and new perspectives — will shape how we think about cities and nature together.
