On March 24, 2025, the event “Saving Pollinators in Cities” took place in Pula, organized in cooperation with the City of Pula. During the meeting, we discussed the crucial role of bees and other pollinators in urban ecosystems and the challenges they face in city environments.
The lecture also presented practical solutions to support biodiversity β from better green space planning to planting pollinator-friendly plants.
The event raised awareness among citizens and key stakeholders, and the knowledge shared will support the implementation of practices benefiting pollinators within urban development strategies.
Participants included representatives from the City of Pula, Pula Herculanea d.o.o., the Beekeepers’ Association, and ViΕ‘njan Observatory. We are planning further collaborations to take concrete steps toward enhancing urban biodiversity!
