The University of Padova, as a proud partner of the WILDFIRE CE project, will host a hybrid workshop aimed at bringing together a diverse group of associated partners and stakeholders from across Italy who are interested in contributing to this important cooperation framework.
The event will be held both in-person and online, welcoming participants from various regions and professional backgrounds, including representatives from forestry, civil protection, fire fighting units, research institutions, and regional administrations.
During the workshop, Professor Francesco Pirotti from the University of Padova will open the session with an official introduction to the WILDFIRE CE project’s goals and scope. Following this, Dr. Erico Kutchartt (UNIPD & CTFC) will share valuable insights and experiences from the recent FIRE-RES project on pan-European fuel type mapping and fire behavior modelling. Additionally, Dr. Luca Tonarelli from D.R.E.Am. ITALIA Forestry Corporation will discuss key wildfire prevention challenges observed through his extensive field and administrative expertise in Italy.
We warmly invite all interested parties to join us for this opportunity to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and strengthen cross-regional wildfire prevention efforts.
