Fondazione ITL and Clust-ER Greentech organised the webinar for representatives of the transport, logistics and green-energy sectors.
Experts from the Emilia-Romagna Region, Transport & Environment and Motus-E discussed:
- regional freight transport and decarbonisation objectives;
- the European regulatory framework;
- hydrogen and battery-electric solutions for freight transport;
- the technological and economic conditions affecting their deployment;
- infrastructure requirements and costs for transport operators.
Practical value
The discussion showed that freight decarbonisation could not be approached as a purely technological choice. Regional conditions, supporting infrastructure, regulation and business costs also had to be considered when assessing suitable solutions.
The webinar helped regional stakeholders compare available pathways and identify issues that public authorities and businesses needed to address when planning lower-emission freight transport.
