The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) hosted the Slovenian FI4INN dissemination event in Ljubljana, bringing together representatives from ministries, public agencies, financial institutions, regional development organisations, academia and innovation support organisations.

The event focused on presenting FI4INN’s innovative financial instruments, the Virtual Knowledge Centre and examples of successful regional practices from across Central Europe. Participants discussed how financial support mechanisms can better respond to the needs of innovative SMEs while encouraging stronger cooperation between institutions responsible for research and innovation funding.

Particular attention was given to blended finance models, ESG integration and the simplification of funding procedures. Stakeholders also emphasised the importance of long-term strategic planning and improved coordination between national and regional actors to maximise the impact of public financial instruments.

The event strengthened dialogue among Slovenian innovation stakeholders while increasing awareness of FI4INN’s methodologies and practical tools, contributing to the wider transfer of project knowledge across Central Europe.
