The SUSTANCE project is coming to an end after 3 years of work on improving cross-border public transport services and developing innovative ICT-based mobility solutions. Therefore, we invite you to join the project’s final conference “Shaping the Future of Public Transport Connectivity in Central Europe”, on March 24, 2026. Under the leadership of the Central European Initiative – Executive Secretariat, the conference will bring together representatives and speakers from around Europe. Institutional greetings and strategic insights will set up the event framework by highlighting the importance of transnational cooperation, sustainable mobility, and the role of macro-regional strategies in enhancing connectivity across Central Europe. This will be followed by an overview of the Policy dimension of integrated mobility – What are EU priorities for the future of transport? Core outputs of the SUSTANCE project will be presented, showcasing innovative approaches and solutions for enhancing regional and cross-border mobility. Action plans and strategies will illustrate how project results can be transferred and scaled up to benefit other areas across Central Europe. We will hear about the regional perspective on mobility in the Western Balkans and discuss the cooperation among institutions, operators, and experts to shape a shared vision of sustainable public transport.
