Within the framework of the Slovenian ORbITaLA Innovation Hub, Food4CE organised the online workshop “How Can Digital Tools Make Work Easier for Farms and Cooperatives?” for producers, cooperative members and local food providers.
During the workshop, experts demonstrated, through practical examples, how digital tools can simplify and improve daily work – from storing and tracking products to selling them online.

- Dr. Maršenka Marksel, University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture – An insight into Slovenian and international logistics solutions that work in practice.
- Tomaž Zadravec, Zelena točka – How digital traceability can make farmers’ work easier and increase customer trust (use of blockchain technology).
- Anja Logar, Fruštek – Thoughtful digitalisation as the foundation of Fruštek’s boutique production.
Participants learned about:
- Digital solutions for inventory management, order processing, traceability, and sales.
- How barcodes, QR codes, and RFID systems can reduce errors and save time.
- How IT system integration strengthens collaboration along the supply chain – from farmers to shops and public institutions.
- Mobile apps and online shops that enable easy ordering and delivery.
- The importance of traceability and transparency in building customer trust and opening opportunities with larger clients (kindergartens, schools, hospitals)
