NiCE Online Seminar #5: Urban Regeneration with Circular Economy Principles

Online
Date: 05.06.2025

Join us for an online seminar exploring how cities drive the circular economy through innovation, reuse systems and awareness activities.

Cities are crucial to a circular economy since they represent high concentration of resources, capital, data, and talent spread over a relatively small geographic area and parallelly are centers for innovation. Due to this concentration, cities can effectively contribute to circular economy transitions supporting specific circular business models, such as sharing models, reuse systems, product-as-a-service models as well as educative, awareness raising activities.

The first presentation by Al Araj Ahmad Fathi Mohammad will highlight the importance of strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to integrate circularity into the built environment.

The second presentation by Mariann Szabó will introduce good examples collected from the NiCE CE project partner cities where urban regeneration projects has contributed to upgrade circular urban portfolios.

The session will include interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to discuss trends and potential solutions.

Join us for a discussion on how cities can make circularity a reality for their residents.
