Date: 11.03.2026 - 12.03.2026
By: NiCE
The NiCE Consortium invites to the final conference of the EU project “NiCE” on 11 and 12 March, 2026, at the UBA headquarters in Dessau-Roßlau. Together with cities, regions, networks, NGOs, and initiatives, we want to discuss ways to promote sustainable consumption structures in city centers.

From May 2023 to April 2026, project partners have been working at the EU-funded project “NiCE – from niche to centre.” The project focuses on promoting circular lifestyles and sustainable consumption structures in city centers. All 9 partners from across Europe together researched, collected best practices, conducted pilot projects in cities, and developed recommendations for action.

The expert conference serves to:

  • provide practical knowledge transfer and application of results from NiCE and other UBA work,
  • inspire through good examples to promote circular lifestyles in cities,
  • facilitate networking among urban development actors to initiate follow-up projects,
  • actively involve participants by giving them opportunities to contribute and present their own projects/results.

The event primarily targets actors working locally in cities to promote sustainable consumption structures. This includes cities, regions, their networks, political decision-makers, NGOs, and initiatives active in this field, as well as representatives of national and regional authorities and EU experts.

Information about the programme and registration will follow soon.
