The goal of the UrbanBlueHealth project is to describe the health impacts of bathing water on urban populations and to implement measures for improving the urban environment in the Central Europe (CE) region. Expected outcomes include improving the quality of urban bathing waters, reducing health risks related to water pollution, and strengthening the capacities of local and regional authorities for managing bathing sites.

The meeting opened with introductory remarks by Dr. Magdalena Ujević Bošnjak, MEng, Head of the Department for Drinking Water Health Safety and Supply, and Dr. Pavle Jeličić, MD, Head of the Department of Health Ecology.
Representatives from the Teaching Institute of Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County, Snježana Benkotić, MEng Food Technology, and Ivan Mihić, MSc Biology, presented the UrbanBlueHealth project, its goals, partners, activities, and expected results.
From the City of Osijek, Romano Kristić, MSc Economics, and Fran Ivan Škorić presented promotional materials for the project, while representatives of the CIPH participated in the discussion and presented the results of pre-pilot water sampling conducted during the summer and early autumn of 2024.
