On 16 October, the Localience project partners gathered in Vienna, hosted by the Austrian Federal Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Hydrometry (AWM), for a highly productive project meeting.

The partners reviewed progress since the previous meeting and provided updates on key ongoing activities. Each country presented the status of their pilot implementations, which are now nearing completion. The diverse pilot solutions developed in each country proved both useful and innovative, offering promising approaches that could be applied across regions and countries.

We also discussed preparations for the Closing Conference, which will take place in Szombathely, Hungary in January, and the development of the Transnational Roadmap — a plan for continued cooperation and sustainability beyond the project’s conclusion.

In addition, partners addressed financial management, communication activities, and other essential closing procedures to ensure a smooth wrap-up of the project’s final period.

As part of the meeting, participants also enjoyed an insightful tour of the AWM laboratory, where they had the opportunity to visit facilities dedicated to hydraulic and hydrometry experiments and learn more about the institute’s impressive research infrastructure.

The meeting fostered valuable exchanges and confirmed the partners’ strong commitment to ensuring that Localience’s outcomes will have lasting benefits across all partner regions.
