On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, we invite you to a hands-on workshop where we will transform surplus materials from the textile industry into innovative products, services, and business models.
The textile industry generates large quantities of high-quality materials that too often remain unused and are most frequently discarded. What would happen if we transformed them into innovative products or services through craftsmanship and design—and developed successful business models around them?
You are invited to join us for the second SYMCRAFT workshop, where we will connect the textile industry, craftsmanship, and design, and jointly develop products and services as well as their business models for the circular use of textiles and industrial symbiosis.
The workshop is intended for:
-
companies from the textile and upholstery industries with textile leftovers,
-
craftspeople who create with textiles,
-
fashion designers and designers of other textile products,
-
everyone who participated in the first and/or follow-up SYMCRAFT workshop in November 2025 and/or December 2025.
If you are a company from the textile industry and your company generates textile leftovers, we kindly ask you to bring a small quantity of materials to the second SYMCRAFT workshop. You will have the opportunity to present them to craftspeople and designers and jointly innovate new product and service prototypes, as well as their business models.
What the workshop offers:
-
Getting to know textile material leftovers for product and service innovation,
-
Co-creation of product and service prototypes to establish industrial symbiosis,
-
Testing the SYMCRAFT GPT AI tool to support product and service innovation,
-
Developing the first steps of a business model for a selected product or service prototype,
-
Networking and establishing new business connections.
The workshop is an opportunity for everyone who wishes to engage in industrial symbiosis and actively contribute to the transformation of the textile industry through the circular economy.
Please bring a laptop, as we will actively use the SYMCRAFT-GPT AI tool and develop business models.
