Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2024

Location: Hamburg, Germany
Date: 23.10.2024 - 24.10.2024
By: H2CE

The event was held in Hamburg for the first time alongside Carbon Capture Technology Expo Europe. It brought together more than 827 exhibitors, 250 speakers and 15,000 visitors.

The exhibition and technical conference covered:

  • low-carbon hydrogen production and electrolysers;
  • storage, compression and distribution;
  • refuelling and transport infrastructure;
  • fuel cells and their components;
  • engineering, manufacturing and advanced materials;
  • testing, monitoring and safety;
  • integration of hydrogen and carbon-capture technologies.

Main results

The event enabled project developers and technology users to compare commercially available solutions and discuss implementation challenges directly with suppliers and engineering specialists.

Conference sessions and workshops connected technical innovation with policy and market development. The co-location with the carbon-capture event also supported discussion of different approaches to industrial decarbonisation.

Practical value

For organisations planning hydrogen projects, the event provided an overview of the technologies and services already available across the value chain. It also highlighted the importance of involving equipment suppliers, infrastructure operators and end users early when assessing system design, safety, costs and technical compatibility.

Further information

The organiser published an official summary of the 2024 event, including participation figures and its principal areas of focus.
