On May 20, 2025, the Bayern Innovativ and Cluster of Environmental Technologies Bavaria hosted the session “Design for Circularity – Innovations for Greater Sustainability” at the Bavarian Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency Days (KReTa) in Nuremberg.
The session, part of the CURIOST INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE project, was moderated by Prof. Oliver Maier (Bayern Innovativ GmbH) and Dr. Viktor Klein. Participants explored how to design products that are durable, repairable, bio-based, or recyclable, gaining practical insights into the concept of “Design for Circularity”.
Attendees had the opportunity to interact with experts such as Nicole Seyring from circulatemore and engage with real-world examples showing how circular design can be applied in practice. The interactive workshop allowed participants to deepen their knowledge through hands-on exercises and discussions with peers.
CURIOST’s presence highlighted the importance of circular design in fostering sustainable innovation and supporting SMEs in adopting practical circular economy solutions.
