Berlin Online Visit

Online
Location: berlin , Germany
Date: 20.01.2025
An online study visit was organised to present and discuss three pilot actions implemented in Berlin under the GEtCoheSive project:

  • I.S.I. e.V. – Increasing Labour Market Opportunities for Refugee Women
This pilot focused on improving labour market access for refugee women through participatory workshops conducted in native languages (Farsi and Arabic) and a direct dialogue event with local stakeholders. The approach promoted empowerment, structural problem-solving, and active engagement in policy discussions.
  • TU Berlin, in cooperation with the Commissioner of the Berlin Senate for Participation, Integration and Migration – Improving Access to Psychotherapies for Traumatised Refugees
This pilot used a bottom-up deliberative process to bring together organisations providing psychosocial support and policymakers. The objective was to identify structural challenges in the provision of therapy for refugees and to draft recommendations to improve framework conditions.
  • TU Berlin, in cooperation with the Commissioner of the Berlin Senate for Participation, Integration and Migration and the Berlin Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Action and the Environment – New Berliners’ Assembly
This pilot established a multilingual citizens’ assembly composed of refugees and migrants. Participants engaged in structured discussions to develop recommendations for Berlin’s Green Mobility Strategy, ensuring that the perspectives of vulnerable groups were reflected in urban policy development.

Each pilot presentation was accompanied by expert inputs and an open discussion with participants. Peer evaluations were collected to support the project’s learning processes and reporting on exchange activities.
