Today marks the official start of SUNFLOWER4CE!
SUNFLOWER4CE โ redesigning sustainable mobility flows and functional linkages beyond borders across Central Europe โ brings together partners from across Central Europe to improve mobility in rural, peripheral and cross-border regions.
Too often, national and administrative borders interrupt everyday journeys and weaken connections between neighbouring regions. Public transport is frequently limited in lower-demand areas, making it harder for residents to access employment, education, healthcare and essential services.
Over the next two years, SUNFLOWER4CE will build on solutions and knowledge developed by previous European projects to:
๐ improve the integration of Demand-Responsive Transport with conventional public transport;
๐ strengthen mobility connections across borders and between urban and rural areas;
๐ฑ explore better integration of flexible transport services into digital mobility and MaaS systems;
๐ค bring together public authorities, transport operators, mobility experts and local stakeholders; and
๐ translate practical experience into joint strategies, action plans and recommendations for Central Europe.
Technische Universitรคt Berlin is proud to coordinate this ambitious transnational partnership as Lead Partner.
Today is only the beginning. We look forward to sharing our activities, local experiences and results as SUNFLOWER4CE moves forwardโand to working together towards more accessible, connected and sustainable mobility across Central Europe.
The project is supported by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
Welcome aboard, SUNFLOWER4CE! ๐ป๐๐
